Microneedling (CIT)

What is Microneedling (CIT)?

Microneedling (or Collagen Induction Therapy/CIT) is perhaps the most successful treatment in combating the common concerns like signs of aging. Collagen induction therapy triggers the body’s spontaneous healing process, stimulating cell regeneration and causing the formation of new collagen. This results in thicker and more supple cellular matrix, and visibly younger looking skin. To minimize any discomfort, a topical anesthetic will be applied for twenty to thirty minutes during the procedure.

Microneedling (CIT) can be used to treat a number of concerns for the face and body such as fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, scars and stretch marks, skin laxity and more.

What is the treatment like?

Step 1 of the Microneedling process. Tiny needles puncture broken down, disorganized collagen.

Step 1: Treatment

The eDermaStamp®’s surgical-grade micro-needles reach beyond the epidermis into the dermis, causing pin-point bleeding and triggering the body’s spontaneous healing response.

Step 2 of the Microneedling process. Fibroblasts, oxygen and growth-promoting properties invade the area.

Step 2: Healing Cascade

Within minutes, the perforation channels close and the healing cascade starts, invading the area with collagen-producing fibroblasts and growth-promoting properties.

Step 3 of the Microneedling process. New collagen and elastin in the dermis is formed.

Step 3: Younger looking skin

New organized collagen & elastin forms, bolstering from within, while the epidermis becomes thicker and more supple, each time a treatment is performed.

Microneedling (CIT) with PRP

Microneedling (CIT) can be used in combination with PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma. During this procedure, blood is drawn from your body (usually your arm), and while your face is numbing, the blood is spun to separate the plasma from the red blood cells. The platelets are akin to stem cells and contain hundreds of proteins, called “growth factors,” which promote healthy healing, cell growth and are especially beneficial in tightening skin on the face.
