What is Dermal Fillers?

Dermal Filler is a soft gel-like substance that is most commonly made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that is naturally produced by your body. At LEVEL, we use Revanesse and Stylage to restore volume loss.

How does Dermal Fillers work?

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar that keeps our skin hydrated and creates volume through its ability to bind water molecules. Fillers are designed to act like your body’s own naturally produced hyaluronic acid.

Dermal Filler FAQ

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance found in the skin that helps to retain moisture and give the skin a smooth, hydrated appearance, while adding volume. As we age, the amount of naturally occurring HA found within the body lessens. This reduced the body’s ability to retain moisture and leads to fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin.

In Canada you must be 18 years of age to receive dermal fillers.

Some precautions need to be kept in mind before arriving to your injection treatment:

• Avoid taking Aspirin, NSAIDs, Platelet Aggregation Inhibiting Drugs, Anticoagulants or Vitamin c in the week preceding the injection appointment, as many of these have the potential to increase the risk of bruising.

Our line of dermal fillers is optimized for durability, while maintaining a natural look and feel within the skin. Once injected, the length of time the filler lasts will depend on the area treated, the type of filler chosen, and some personal characteristics, including your metabolism and activity level. On average, your results will last between 6-12 months.

You will see results instantly! Once injected, the line of fillers provides immediate volume with little-to-no down time.

Yes! While we are confident that you will love your results, if you are unhappy for any reason, then our qualified and trained health care practitioner can reverse your treatment by injecting a solution to dissolve the filler.
